Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 vs Other DartBoards In the Same Category
The following section will focus on three electronic dartboards that are on the market at the moment. We will take a brief look at the features of each so that you can appreciate the similarities and differences.
Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 vs Cricket Pro 900
You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference when looking at the Arachnid Cricket Pro 900 and the 800. The board is still 15.5 inches, they are the same color and the 900 also has ultra-thin segment dividers. This board is also made of tough nylon with square holes. The LED display and the buttons are identical.
You will also receive 6 soft-tip darts, extra tips, the instruction manual, and the power adapter. It comes with all you need to mount the board.
In terms of differences, the Arachnid Cricket Pro 900 has more games. There 48 games in total, and an amazing 354 game variations. Arachnid has kept all the fun features like the Heckler and added some more. It has a player handicap and it calculates the average marks per round. As well, it has a voice prompt to throw.
The dimensions are very similar, it is 22.5 x 3.2 x 30 inches. It weighs slightly more at 11.8 pounds. There is a significant difference in the price. Perhaps too much to justify.
Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 vs Cricket Pro 650
Arachnid has placed its standard dartboard inside a large, black, arcade-style cabinet. It’s a 15.5-inch board with the black and red segments. The yellow segment dividers are yellow and ultra-thin to reduce bounce out. Still included are the 6 soft-tip darts, extra tips, the power adapter and manual.
You will be able to enjoy playing against the board, a player handicap and a voice prompt for players to throw. There are 24 games, quite a few less than the Arachnid 800, and 132 player options. Up to 8 people can play together.
The main difference, aside from the cabinet, is the LED display. Each player’s score is displayed in large numbers with a second LED light indicator display for additional information. The games are still listed and the large red and yellow buttons make switching the game options very straightforward.
It has a similar price tag to the Arachnid Cricket Pro 900. Obviously, it is much larger and heavier than both of the other versions.
Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 vs Cricket Pro 750
We won’t go over the board specifics again as it is exactly the same as the other Arachnid Cricket Pro boards. What is included in the box is also the same. It can be played by up to 8 players.
The Arachnid 750 has some of the same features, for example, solo player, volume control, and player handicap. One feature that makes it stand out from the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 is the voice record feature. You can record your name and when it’s your turn to throw, the machine will repeat your recorded name.
This dartboard has 36 games and 175 player options. The LED display has a slightly different layout but essentially there are still two ways to monitor your scores with light indicators and easy to read numbers. You will still be able to use the large red and yellow buttons.
While the board is 15.5 inches, the overall dimensions are a bit smaller. It’s 21 x 2 x 29 inches and it only weighs 8 pounds. It’s a few dollars more than the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800.
The Final Word
When you compare the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 with the other three Arachnid electronic dartboards, you will see that for the price, the 800 is fantastic value for money. There is a wide range of games and variations and some nice features to further enjoy the games. The board is made of good quality materials and on top of that, it’s well designed.
Of the three other Arachnid dartboards, the only one that could come close would be the Arachnid 750. The voice recorder is good fun but we still don’t feel that it is enough to pay the extra, and for fewer games.
